Better Self Esteem Through Play
The Self-Esteem Game is a board game created in response to the increasing need to help children build, boost, and enhance self-esteem. The game, now celebrating it’s 30 year anniversary is for ages 8 and up and can be played with two or four players.
Dr. Michael Sheehan, a child psychologist, created the game and produced it, with the team from Prospero’s Pen Games. You can see our interview with Dr. Sheehan, below.
In The Self-Esteem Game, parents, guardians and therapists will find an enjoyable method to create conversation and better interaction with children.
In today’s world, we need to take every opportunity we can to have our children know that they are worthy and loved. As parents, we know that without the self-esteem “spark” life can be difficult. Let’s start the conversation now, and what better way than through play!
